Christine lived an existence as a geeky IT Professional by day, gamer by night. Like other superhero origin stories, this hero struggled with a lack of energy to set foot forth in the great wide world due to being cooped up for so long however; as the prophecies of old foretold, change was coming.
Thanks to the call for adventure and a desperate desire to recharge her mind, body, and soul, our hero transformed, snatching her alter-ego Jarlaxe (the rogue) away from the World of Warcraft and into the real world!
Our hero is now known for getting out there, going for it, and just doing it BECAUSE WHY NOT?!!! She is UNSTOPPABLE, undefeated by naysayers, injury, and weather!
Accomplishments of late include horseback riding through the snows of Iceland, sailing the North Atlantic in style, riding a dolphin and kissing a sea lion in Mexico, soloing the Top Of The World Highway through Alaska and Yukon, fandangling her way into Blizzard Headquarters in California (it was totally legit!), and mingling with celebrities at pop culture conventions around North America!!
…But this story ain’t over yet, stay tuned for more adventures yet to come!!

I’m still gaming, been playing World of Warcraft since 2005!! For the past 10 years I have been doing it for charity through Extra Life: Play Games, Heal Kids!! Extra Life is a gaming charity that supports Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in Canada and the USA. I play for the kids at Alberta Children’s Hospital in Canada.
Official Game Day is in November, where we play for 24 hours straight to raise funds and support the kids! I have a personal page on Extra Life where I log my own fundraising efforts. Sometime I’ll do mini marathons, this year I’m donating for specific rare items looted! I also seek to collect additional donations from friends and family and whomever wants to support this EPIC cause.
