World of Warcraft 15th and Warcraft 25th Anniversaries at BlizzCon

By

For anyone who doesn’t already know, this year marks World of Warcraft’s 15th anniversary along with the 25th anniversary of Warcraft!!  Happy Anniversary!!  World of Warcraft first launched on November 23, 2004.  I’ve been playing since January 2005 and still going strong!!  This game has been a huge part of my life and I don’t think there are enough words to describe how much I love it.

The original Warcraft: Orcs and Humans launched on November 23, 1994.  I never did play the old Warcraft games before World of Warcraft however; Warcraft III: Reforged the game is set to release very soon (we hope!) and I will be playing it to experience the old days, remastered!  I want to play for the lore more than anything, so I’m looking very forward to it!!

BlizzCon allowed us to visit the main Horde and Alliance capitals, Orgrimmar and Stormwind.  So I made it to the gates of Orgrimmar:

Even made a friend!

The gates of Stormwind and all their glory:

There was a World of Warcraft themed stage set up for the Friday night anniversary celebration:

…and a performance by The Spazmatics who played pop cover songs from the 80’s:

Got the collectible anniversary mug, or should I say, mugs.  In them are the Ironfoe and Mak’gora brews by Bottle Logic Brewing.  See my Bottle Logic beer post for reviews!!

This year’s BlizzCon was extra special because of the Warcraft anniversaries.  I am BEYOND EXCITED that I got to attend!!  Everyone who purchased a convention pass got to choose a collectible statue to go with their pass, either the Horde Grunt or the Alliance Footman.  It was included in the pass price!  They were also available for purchase to BlizzCon attendees, for anyone who has to have both!  The collectibles are 8 inches tall and have beautiful detail:

Happy Anniversary Warcraft and World of Warcraft!!  I look forward to logging in to WoW for the in-game celebrations!!
