April 17, 2025: Onward to Shinjuku, another entertainment ward of Tokyo, home of the Godzilla head, and all things Godzilla!! One of my good pals is a big Godzilla nerd, so we had to go! There was a Godzilla gift shop that we managed to find, and it had all kinds of neat Godzilla SWAG, and a statue as well:
Couldn’t resist picking up a couple little souvenirs… I suppose I favour King Ghidorah over Godzilla:
Then there was the head, over at Toho Cinemas, which I’m told is one of Japan’s largest movie theatre chains and apparently significant to Godzilla… RAAWWWWR!!!
This was certainly a sight to see! We also visited Disney’s Flagship Tokyo Store and went for lunch at Torikizoku, so stay tuned! A map of the area:
