Quest complete! My Northwest Territories adventure from the Alberta border to the British Columbia border: 956 km over three days, two nights, paved and gravel highways, bears, bison, and BUGS!!
Would I do it again?? Well, I could probably be convinced as the scenery is amazing and the villages and hamlets would be worth staying at a bit longer to explore further. But the BUGS have got to go!! They were the biggest downer of the entire journey. The giant flies and bees buzzing around everywhere made the mosquitoes seem trivial. Did I even mention mosquitoes? Also, must bring a friend for geocaching!!
I can say as well that for this particular route, I’ve now been there, done that! If I go back to NWT, I would want to venture either to Yellowknife (maybe they have souvenirs), or cut through Yukon to go up to Inuvik and Tuktoyaktuk via another infamous gravel highway, The Dempster. You can drive all the way to Tuktoyaktuk now!!

For now though, my adventure is not finished… Onward and upward to Yukon we go!
