Quest Complete: Epic Travel to Blizzard HQ!!

By

Wow.  Just wow.  This is probably one of the most AMAZING things I’ve ever done, I managed to pull this off and made my way inside Blizzard Entertainment Headquarters in Irvine, CA, USA!  I mean, I’ve only been playing World of Warcraft since 2005, and it is the ONLY game I really play, and is one of those things in life I LOVE THE MOST!!

I had help of course, literally a friend of a friend of a friend to do this properly, as the campus is fenced and secured.  For me this was some darned fine networking at its best!  And I am forever grateful to all of those friends for making this DREAM COME TRUE for me!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

My biggest goal of the whole excursion (as indicated in my previous ‘Epic Travel Quests‘ post) was to get my picture taken with the orc statue outside on the campus grounds. And here we have it, QUEST COMPLETE!!  FOR THE HORDE!!  LOK’TAR!!  (Lok’tar means victory in orcish):

I must comment as well on how friendly and welcoming everyone who I spoke to at Blizzard was, from gate security to the people at the front desk in the building by the museum, to the wonderful human who was very willing to show me around, take me on a statue hunt, and take any pictures I wanted.  All of you made me feel very welcome, making me even more glad I came to see you, thank you so much, you made my visit even more EPIC and MEMORABLE than it already would have been!!

Upon arriving, I was greeted by the massive 15 foot tall statue of Gorehowl, the famous axe wielded by Grom and Garrosh Hellscream:

I got to see the art museum which was almost entirely World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth content, no complaints from me!!  Guessing it must get changed up from time to time so it would be totally worth going back again and again, HA!

Horde allied races and new zones from the Battle for Azeroth expansion:

Alliance allied races and new zones:

Some character art and info for Anduin, Jaina, Saurfang, Vol’jin, Sylvanas, and Azshara:

The Blood War:

Here I am in front of the Heart of Azeroth, there was no escaping the reflection here!!

Warfronts and Island Expeditions:

Some of the cinematic stills, I can re-watch these over and over again and never get tired of them!!

Pretty sure this is Muradin Bronzebeard (below).  I didn’t even realize he was on a door until I had left the campus and looked at this picture afterward, I guess I was THAT EXCITED about being there!!

Props from the Warcraft movie which I LOVED so much:

Aaaah Chris Metzen, one of the most iconic Blizzard people immortalized in this statue and I’m sure other places as well, official title: “Senior Vice President, Story and Franchise Development“, retired a few years ago!  I believe he is standing with Winston, the gorilla from Overwatch:

A life-size in-game mailbox brought to the real world, or is it the other way around?

Blizzard got into the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest video game diorama, “The Battle of Lordaeron”.  This was apparently displayed at Blizzcon in 2017, gaaaah!!  I will get myself there one of these years, that will be my follow-up quest to achieving my visit to Blizzard HQ, the hardest part will be getting a ticket!!

Got pictures of some of the various statues around the many buildings at Blizzard, including Illidan from World of Warcraft, Jim Raynor (I think?) from Starcraft, Tyrael (he lights up!) from Diablo, Tracer from Overwatch, Jaina from World of Warcraft, Diablo himself, and Sylvanas from World of Warcraft:

And that’s a wrap!  Again, one of the most MEMORABLE and EPIC things I’ve ever done.  Thanks again to all who helped make it happen!!
