April 18-20, 2025: Whew, what a weekend! Star Wars Celebration Japan was a great one with lots of activities, shopping, and good friends! Managed to get a group shot of our Calgary Star Wars Fan Force, ten of us made the trek to Japan!

Aaaaaaand the moment we wait for all weekend until Sunday afternoon… The big announcement of when and where the next Star Wars Celebration will be! Looks like we’re headed back to the USA (Los Angeles) from April 1-4, 2027!
Doesn’t this stormtrooper (below) look absolutely exhausted?? You probably had to be there, but one night when Celebration had finished for the day and all the event staff and security were attempting to usher everyone out of the building, we walked past this stormtrooper, just as one of the security personnel was shouting, “Everyone out, Star Wars is closed!” STAR WARS IS CLOSED!! Never heard that before… Only in Japan I guess! Someone turned the situation into a meme, and it made quite the rounds on social media.
