Universal Studios Japan: Harry Potter-Land

By

April 14, 2025: I believe the official name of the park is called The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but who doesn’t call it Harry Potter Land?!! No one I know. I could have easily spent the entire day here just wandering the shops and chillin’ at the Three Broomsticks and Hog’s Head. Yes, it was nice to stroll through the Universal Studios grounds and see Super Nintendo World among other things, but THIS is what I really care about. Wizarding World indeed!

We did wander the park and went on the Hogwarts ride where you’re strapped into a four-seater and whipped around the castle grounds. This ride requires some Gravol or similar before getting on, if you’re that sort of human that needs it! And drink your Butterbeer AFTER the ride, not before! Learned that at Universal Hollywood.

Harry Potter Japan was certainly a condensed version if I am to compare it to Florida or even California it seemed. The Three Broomsticks and the Hog’s Head brought on some confusion… I swear at other locations in the world they are separate establishments, but here they seem to be the same building, depending where you look! There was the Hog’s Head signage outside, yet when you walk in you are clearly going into the Three Broomsticks as per the archway and signage.

I came to the conclusion that the food menu was Three Broomsticks, whereas the drink menu was Hog’s Head. And look at those Hog’s Head taps! Had to stick to my Butterbeer though… It is THE GREATEST THING EVER to taste! I must indulge when the opportunity for a Butterbeer presents itself. Got the Vegetable Irish Stew to go with it, and it came with a variety of other nibblies (see below):

It was so nice to be here ‘again’…. Magical even!
